Chennai, December 21 (). Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Politics has intensified after the statement given by Stalin at the Christmas function. Coimbatore South MLA and senior Tamil Nadu BJP leader Vanathi Srinivasan has accused CM Stalin of discriminating against Hindus and also raised questions on his absence from Hindu festivals.

Vanathi Srinivasan says that the Chief Minister of the state has a feeling of religious discrimination and his statement has hurt religious sentiments. She also raised questions on his absence from major Hindu festivals like Diwali, Vinayaka Chaturthi and Thaipusam and said, “He does not even extend greetings on Hindu festivals. DMK rule reflects systematic discrimination.” The MLA also criticized the Assembly Speaker as he did not allow such serious issues to be discussed in the House.

Referring to Thaipusam, he challenged the Chief Minister to take part in the festival of Lord Murugan. Let us tell you that Lord Murugan is the form of Lord Kartikeya, who is worshiped the most in South India. Vanati also attacked the government’s administration of the temples, saying that the repair work is not done by the state government but by donations and offerings from devotees.

He accused the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of demanding bribes and preventing Hindu devotees from performing traditional rituals like ‘Kumbhabhishekam’ without approval. “These are not signs of equal treatment for every religion, and the DMK itself is responsible for disturbing communal harmony,” he said.

Vanati said that instead of spreading the message of Jesus Christ and peace in the Christmas meeting, the Chief Minister has served to increase religious discord. By making such divisive remarks, he has once again proved himself to be an enemy of Hindus and the statements made by him are highly condemnable.

Let us tell you that in the Christmas function held in Palayamkottai on 20th December, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had said that both his party and the government cater to the needs of all religions without any discrimination and carry out development work which irritates “certain groups” who want to disturb the peace of Tamil Nadu. He also warned the public to beware of those who incite religious sentiments for political purposes.
