The incidents of violence and oppression against minorities in Bangladesh are not stopping. The latest case has come to light from a village, where an angry mob crossed all limits of cruelty by targeting a Hindu family on Saturday. The miscreants took the family members hostage inside their own house and then set fire all around the house. This sudden deadly attack created panic and screams in the entire area.
The fire was started in a planned manner by closing the doors from outside, people trapped inside the house were left without breath.
This attack was completely carried out as part of a well-thought-out conspiracy. The mob first blocked all the exits from the house and locked the doors from outside, so that no one could run away to save their lives. After this the house was set on fire. Within no time the fire took a huge form and the flames started spreading rapidly. The family trapped inside the house started battling for life and death amidst smoke and fire. However, after the promptness of the local people and hard work of the fire department, the fire was brought under control and the family was taken out safely.
Threats were being received even before the incident, police started investigation after everything was burnt to ashes.
In this arson, the house of the victim’s family was badly burnt to ashes. The victim says that this attack did not happen suddenly, rather they were already receiving threats regarding this. The family was living under the shadow of constant fear. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police have registered a case. Police officials say that they are investigating the matter and the culprits will not be spared. Although the administration has assured action, it is difficult to compensate for the huge loss suffered by the family.
In view of the rising questions on human rights and the tense atmosphere, heavy police force was deployed in the area.
