New Delhi, December 31 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala spoke on many important issues including the country’s economy, West Bengal politics and the second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple.
Shehzad Poonawala told IANS that this is a proud moment for every Indian. India has achieved a great achievement. India’s economy has now become the fourth largest economy in the world, leaving Japan behind. India has moved straight from 11th position to fourth position and now the country’s economy is worth 4.18 trillion dollars.
He claimed that considering the current pace, India will become the third largest economy in the next two and a half to three years, leaving Germany behind. India is currently growing at a fast growth rate of 8.2 percent.
Attacking Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) and MP Sanjay Raut, Shehzad Poonawala said that Balasaheb Thackeray’s soul must be sad today. He alleged that Sanjay Raut turned ‘Uddhav Sena’ into ‘Sonia Sena’.
He said that the party which was once considered the lioness of Hindutva, has today become a victim of secularism. It can be understood from the speeches of Balasaheb Thackeray that how he got the disputed structure demolished in 17 minutes and played an active role in the Ram Mandir movement, whereas today Uddhav Thackeray is seen standing in opposition to ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Referring to West Bengal, the BJP spokesperson said that under the rule of Trinamool Congress, ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’ are nowhere to be seen. He alleged that corruption and chaos have prevailed in the state.
Shahzad Poonawala said that the central government is putting pressure on fencing the border to stop infiltration. He claimed that states like Punjab, Gujarat and Assam do not receive illegal immigrants, but in Bengal, land is not being given for the 400-450 km long BSF fence.
On the second anniversary of Ramlala’s death in Ram temple, Prince Poonawala described it as a very holy and historical day. He said that this was the same dream for which the Hindu society was waiting for 500 years. The grand Ram temple was built, Ramlala got his temple, the flag was hoisted on the temple, and centuries of penance were completed.
