New Delhi. After the grand event of Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, everyone is now waiting for the Ardh Kumbh of Haridwar. Pushkar Singh Dhami Sarkar of Uttarakhand has already started preparations for Mahakumbh, which falls in Haridwar in the year 2027. Like Prayagraj Mahakumbh, there is a plan to make Haridwar Ardh Kumbh historic. This is the reason that for the first time there will be 3 amrit baths with saints, saints and akharas in Haridwar. The proposal of the Uttarakhand government has been approved by the Akhara Parishad. Till now only devotees used to bathe in Haridwar Ardh Kumbh, but this time there will be Amrit bath here.
The first Amrit bath will be held on 6 March 2027 on the festival of Mahashivaratri. On 8 March 2027, there will be a second Amrit bath on the day of Somavati Amavasya. After this, the third Amrit bath will take place on 14 April 2027 on the day of Vaishakhi festival. Aries Sankranti is falling on the day of Vaishakhi, that is why the bath of this day will be the most sacred nectar bath. Earlier, a bath will also be taken on Makar Sankranti but it is not placed in the category of Amrit bath. Although the government has not officially announced the dates of Amrit bathing, but it will be announced soon.
It is worth noting that in the Ardh Kumbh falling in Haridwar, there was no nectar bath of saints or akhadas, because the year where there is a semi -Kumbh in Haridwar, Simhastha festival is celebrated in Ujjain or Trimbakeshwar Nashik. There is a gap of a few days between Ardh Kumbh and Simhastha festival, which is why the saints and akhadas used to go to Ujjain or Trimbakeshwar instead of Haridwar. Although Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar in 2027 is in March-April while Simhastha festival in Nashik will be held in July-August. In such a situation, the arena can easily join both places.
