China has promised to resolve India’s three concerns. These are rare soil, fertilizer and tunnel digging machines. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has assured External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar in this matter.
According to sources, he assured that China is solving three major concerns related to India’s fertilizer, rare soil and tunnel digging machines.
Significantly, the Chinese Foreign Minister reached India on a two -day visit on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said in his initial statement that the talks would include “economic and business issues, pilgrimage, contact between people, river data sharing, border trade, contact and bilateral exchange”.
The Foreign Minister further discussed the concerns raised during his visit to China in July this year.
In his inaugural speech with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister emphasized that as the major economies of the neighboring countries and the world, there are various aspects and dimensions of India-China relations. “It is also necessary in this context to avoid restrictive trade measures and obstacles,” he said.
Jaishankar further said, “Stable and creative relations between India and China are not only beneficial for us, but also for the whole world. It is possible only by handling relations based on mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity.”
During his address with the Chinese Foreign Minister in New Delhi on Monday, the Foreign Minister said that differences should not be converted into dispute or competition conflict. He said that Chinese leader’s visit to India gives the two countries an opportunity to review bilateral relations and it is also a suitable time to exchange views on global status and some issues of mutual interests.
After the action of the Chinese Army along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, relations between India and China were soured, causing a deadlock. The deadlock began in April-May 2020 and some collision points led to some decrease in tension due to consent on the return of soldiers.
Prior to the 2024 BRICS Summit, India and China reached an agreement on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh on an agreement, which led to progress towards reducing stress. The two countries have taken steps to improve their relations in recent months. India has emphasized the need to take steps towards reducing tension on LAC in eastern Ladakh.
Amid the Ukraine war and efforts to find a solution to the tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump, amidst fluctuations in geopolitical status, Jaishankar said it is also necessary to increase stability in the global economy.
Wang Yi’s visit is taking place before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) summit to be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September.
