A major change has been seen in the weather of United Arab Emirates (UAE). On the morning of 26 January, it rained with hail in Al Rams, northern area of Ras Al Khaimah. Apart from this, rain was also recorded in different parts of Fujairah and Al Ain during night time. The Meteorological Department has said that this change has come due to the low pressure area being formed from the Red Sea, due to which strong winds are also blowing at many places.

How is the weather and temperature?
National Meteorological Center (NCM) has informed that there may be rain of varying intensity in the coming times. Due to this rain and winds the temperature has dropped. The temperature on the peaks of the hilly areas has been recorded between 12 to 18 degrees Celsius. Whereas in the coastal areas it is expected to be 20 to 24 degrees Celsius and in the interior parts it is expected to be 22 to 26 degrees Celsius. People are feeling cold due to cold winds.
What are RTA’s instructions to drivers?
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has told some important things for the safety of drivers during the rainy season. Officials have appealed to people to allow extra time before setting out on a journey and not to rush.
Check your vehicle’s brakes, tyres, headlights and wipers properly. Keep the speed of the vehicle low on the road and maintain proper distance from the vehicle in front. Avoid going on waterlogged roads and low lying places. Use headlights or hazard lights only in emergency and avoid overtaking.
