Nissan’s new Gravit MPV will be launched with 1.0 liter NA and turbocharged petrol engine.
Nissan is preparing to launch its new MPV Gravite in the Indian market on 17 February 2026. Recently the company has released a new video of it and it shows road testing and water wading test on highways and remote areas. This MPV will be based on the platform of Renault Triber and it is expected that its price will also be affordable.
Talking about design, Nissan Gravite will be presented with a boxy and upright stance, which will give it a strong and premium look. To differentiate it from the Triber, Nissan has given it C-shaped LED headlights, the brand’s signature grille and a more muscular bumper. Apart from this, roof rails, body cladding and alloy wheels will also be provided. At the rear, this MPV will see wraparound LED taillights, C-shaped bumper design and faux skid plate.
Nissan Gravite will get a 7-seater cabin and flat floor layout. The second row seats will have slide and recline features, while the third row will be more suitable for children or short journeys. The boot space can be increased as per requirement through foldable rear seats.
Talking about interior features, it will be provided with digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, rear AC vents for all rows, keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control and many storage spaces. 360-degree camera, wireless charging and connected car technology can also be found in top variants.
In terms of safety, Nissan Gravite is expected to be provided with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist and tire pressure monitoring system. Nissan Gravite will compete primarily with the entry and mid variants of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Its estimated price could range between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8.40 lakh (ex-showroom), while deliveries are expected to start from March 2026.
Talking about the engine, it will get a 1.0-litre petrol engine, which will be available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. There is a possibility of getting 5-speed manual and AMT transmission as gearbox. A factory-fitted CNG variant may also be introduced in the future. Apart from this, the company willEcton will also launch SUV.
