Big news has come for lakhs of youth who dream of getting a job in Railways. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the dates for Graduate Level CBT 1 exam under RRB NTPC 2025-26 Recruitment. This examination will be conducted at various examination centers across the country, for the candidates who have participated in this recruitment process, now is the time to finalize the preparations.
NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) posts are considered to be one of the most popular recruitments in Railways. Every year a large number of candidates apply for these posts. This time also lakhs of candidates will appear in the examination. Railway Recruitment Board has made it clear that the examination will be conducted as per the schedule, hence the candidates will have to complete all the necessary formalities on time.
CBT 1 exam will be conducted from 16th March to 27th March 2025
According to Railway Recruitment Board, the Graduate Level CBT 1 examination will start from 16 March 2025 and will continue till 27 March 2025 i.e. this examination will be conducted for a total of 12 days. Candidates who are successful in CBT 1 will get a chance to appear in the next stage i.e. CBT 2 examination. The date of CBT 2 will be announced later.
When will the city information slip and admit card come?
For the convenience of the candidates, RRB has also announced the date of admit card and city intimation slip. City intimation slip will be released on 6 March 2025. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates will also be able to download their travel passes on the same day. Admit cards will be released on March 12, 2025, which will be available four days before the first date of the exam. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the respective regional RRB website with the help of their registration number and password.
Aadhaar based biometric verification is required
RRB has made it clear that this time Aadhaar based biometric verification will be mandatory for all the candidates appearing in the examination. It will be mandatory for the candidates to carry their original Aadhar Card or e-verified Aadhar Card with them to the examination centre. Candidates who have not yet completed Aadhaar verification should complete the process as soon as possible by logging into the official website rrbapply.gov.in. This will not cause any problem on the exam day.
It is important to keep Aadhaar information updated
Railway Board has also informed that the candidates who had done Aadhaar verification at the time of application should also ensure that their Aadhaar information is correct and active in the UIDAI system. If there is any discrepancy in the Aadhaar information, there may be a problem in identity verification at the examination centre.
cbt 1 exam pattern
A total of 100 multiple choice (MCQ) questions will be asked in CBT 1 exam. Questions will be in three parts. A total of 90 minutes will be given for the examination. Specially Handicapped (PwBD) candidates, who will take scribe assistance, will be given 120 minutes for the examination. For each correct answer you will get 1 mark. 1/3 (one third) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions. Therefore, candidates are advised to answer only those questions about which they are confident.
