Today is a big day for India’s largest car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki. The company has officially announced the price of its first electric car E-Vitara. This moment is considered very special for the company, because with this, Maruti Suzuki has officially entered the electric mobility segment.

the price is this much
Maruti e-Vitara was first shown at the India Mobility Auto Expo 2025, and since then there were a lot of expectations in the market regarding its price, which have ended today. The new Maruti e-Vitara has been introduced under the Battery as a Service subscription plan. The starting price of the car without battery is ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers will have to pay ₹3.99 extra per km for the battery. Maruti Suzuki has left no stone unturned in improving its first EV. The company has given a very clean and modern design to the e-Vitara. It measures 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,640 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. This size not only gives it a strong identity in the compact SUV segment, but it also offers ample space for its occupants.

Premium cabin and new technology
In terms of cabin, the e-Vitara is considered to be the most premium Maruti car till date. It features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system mounted on a floating center console. Soft-touch materials, dual-tone interiors and multi-colour ambient lighting give a luxurious feel inside. The SUV features ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjust driver seat and a 40:20:40 split rear seat that can slide, recline and fold. A fixed glass sunroof and a Harman-tuned sound system further cement its premium identity.

Battery pack and driving range
The Maruti e-Vitara features a lightweight 3-in-1 electric drive system, which combines the motor, inverter and transmission into a single unit. This reduces weight and improves performance and range. The Maruti e-Vitara is available in two battery options: a 49kWh and a 61kWh battery pack. Both variants will come with front-wheel drive setup. The larger battery pack will deliver a driving range of up to 543 kilometers (ARAI-certified range) on a single charge. The e-Vitara is available in three trims. The base variant, Delta, will have a 49kWh battery, while the Zeta and Alpha trims will have a larger 61kWh battery. An all-wheel-drive version is also available in global markets, with an additional rear motor. It is not confirmed yet whether the AWD version will come to India or not.

The e-Vitara has also been specially designed for safety. More than 50 percent of its body structure is made of high-tensile steel, and a dedicated battery protection system has been provided. Seven airbags, all-disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, and e-call emergency feature are standard. Level-2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking are also provided. Overall, the e-Vitara is considered to be one of the company’s safest and most technologically advanced cars ever.
