Maruti Suzuki Brezza has consistently maintained its place among the top 10 best-selling cars of India for the last decade.
Maruti Suzuki is celebrating 10 years of its popular SUV Brezza in the Indian market. Since its launch in 2016, this compact SUV has become increasingly popular. Today this segment has become one of the largest car categories in the country. Currently, the share of compact SUVs in the total passenger vehicle market is about 31 percent. Over the last decade, Brezza has consistently been among the top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles in India.
Its continued popularity has played an important role in increasing the share of this segment to 31 percent. According to statistics, 56 percent of the customers in this segment already consider Brezza as their “first choice” when they come to the showroom. The model has been a huge success since its launch and has won more than 28 major automotive awards in the very first year, including the prestigious Indian Car of the Year.
In two generations, this SUV has progressed a lot in terms of technology and features. This 5 seater SUV is equipped with 1.5 liter K15C DualJet petrol engine, which gives power of 103 PS and torque of 137 Nm. Customers can opt for a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic (with paddle shifters). For better mileage, it has been provided with smart hybrid technology and factory-fitted CNG variant is also available.

Talking about the size, its length is 3,995 mm, width is 1,790 mm and height is 1,685 mm, while the wheelbase is 2,500 mm. It has ground clearance of 198 mm and boot space of 328 liters. The cabin has features like 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera and segment-first heads-up display.
For safety, it comes with features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist as standard. The company is currently working on an updated version of the Brezza, which may include mild cosmetic changes, underbody CNG tank positioning and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
