New Delhi, March 17 (IANS). Summer season has arrived and the temperature is increasing every day in many parts of the country. Amid rising temperatures, it is very important to protect the body from dehydration and provide coolness from within. In such a situation, coconut water is a great option, which is rich in nutrients and keeps the body hydrated in a natural way.
At least one or two drops of coconut water should be consumed daily in summer. It is a safe and natural drink for any age person. Unlike packaged drinks or sodas available in the market, fresh coconut water does not contain any adulteration or added sugar. According to Ayurveda, coconut water is no less than nectar in summer.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, coconut water is the best and natural companion of summer. It instantly hydrates the body, gives energy and provides natural cooling effect. Coconut water is considered a pitta-shamaka drink in Ayurveda, that is, it calms the aggravated pitta dosha in the body. Excessive sweating in summer causes deficiency of water and electrolytes in the body, which can cause problems like fatigue, weakness, headache and dizziness. Coconut water prevents all these problems because natural electrolytes are present in abundance in it.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, coconut water is a very good source of potassium, which is an essential mineral for the body. It is beneficial for heart health, controls blood pressure and strengthens the muscles. Drinking coconut water after exercising or working outside in summer relieves fatigue quickly and brings freshness to the body. Apart from this, coconut water keeps the digestive system smooth.
The enzymes present in it help in digesting food easily and provide relief from problems like constipation. It is also very beneficial for the skin. Regular consumption keeps the skin moisturized, reduces pimples and prevents heat-related infections.
