Chirawa (Jhunjhunu) On Sunday night, a retired soldier was brutally stabbed to death by his own friend in Bamanwas village under Chirawa police station of Jhunjhunu district. After this incident, there is tension in the entire area and the villagers have blocked the Delhi-Bikaner National Highway (NH-11) demanding justice.
According to ASP Phoolchand, 50-year-old retired soldier Udayveer Singh, who retired from the Army as Havildar in 2011, used to run an animal feed shop in the village. At around 8 pm on Sunday night, there was an argument with his friend Akram at his shop over some issue. The dispute escalated so much that Akram, in a fit of rage, stabbed Udayveer three times in the stomach one after the other. Udayveer was taken to the hospital in a bleeding condition, where doctors declared him dead. As soon as the news of the murder spread, the villagers became angry. From 8 am on Monday, the villagers sat on strike on the National Highway at Lakhu, 3 km away from Bamanwas. The main demands of the protesters have been put forward. This includes a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the victim’s family. Government job to the son of the deceased. Includes immediate arrest of the accused.
Removal of illegal encroachment from the Gochar land of the village (the accused’s shop is also said to be on the same land).
Rural District Collector Arun Garg and SP are adamant on the demand of calling Kavendra Sagar on the spot.
Gathering of leaders and heavy police force deployed
In view of the tense situation, police teams from Chirawa, Surajgarh, Buhana and Pilani police stations have been deployed. Many senior leaders including former state vice president of BJP Santosh Ahlawat, former MLA Subhash Poonia and OBC Commission member Pawan Mavandiya have reached the spot. Several police teams are conducting raids in search of accused Akram.
family condition
Udayveer Singh’s house is located in a field 1 km away from the shop. He is survived by his wife, son Dinesh who does a private job in Delhi and two daughters studying nursing in Jaipur. There is a wave of mourning in the entire area due to the murder of a calm and friendly former soldier of the village.
