The Kuwait government has launched a new and high-tech control system to strengthen the supply of food items in the country. Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila recently visited the Central Control Center to understand its intricacies. The purpose of this new system is to ensure that citizens and expatriates living in Kuwait do not face shortage of ration and essential items under any circumstances. The government is now directly monitoring the stock and supply chain.

This new system works like a modern control room that is linked to co-operative societies and ration centers across Kuwait. Some key points about it are:
A total of 191 monitoring points have been created across the country which remain active 24 hours. At least 76 co-operative societies have been directly linked to this system. The Minister has clarified that now real-time report of availability of goods and their stock level can be seen. This system will help in preventing hoarding and keeping the prices stable, which will not increase the burden on the pockets of the common man and migrants.
