Amitabh Bachchan
Born on 11 October 1942 to famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan’s film journey was not a bed of flowers. His first film was ‘Saat Hindustani’. This was the time when no actress wanted to work with him because of his height. After many flop films, he worked as a co-hero with Rajesh Khanna in the film ‘Anand’ for which he received the Filmfare Award.
In 1973, Prakash Mehra gave him work in ‘Zanjeer’. That film proved to be a milestone for him, after which a line of successful films followed and Amitabh Bachchan became the first choice of the producers for the role of ‘Angry Young Man’. Today he is the ‘Shahenshah’ of the film world.

Dilip Kumar’s real name was Mohammad Yusuf Khan, born on 11 December 1922 in Peshawar. When he started his struggle to get work in films, he neither had a house to live in nor the money to reach the film studio. To meet his expenses, he sold sandwiches in an army club and also sold fruits on the roadside.
His first film ‘Jwar Bhata’ came in 1944. He acted in more than 65 films and received honors like Padma Bhushan, Nishane Imtiaz. Today his name needs no recognition. He is the tragedy king of the film world.
Devananda
Devanand’s full name was Dharamdev Pishorimal Devanand. Before reaching the top of the film world, he worked as a clerk for many years. He is known as an ‘evergreen actor’ but he struggled hard to achieve this success. His films are counted among the classic films like Kaala Paani, Hare Rama-Hare Krishna, Guide, Des-Pardes etc.

Akshay Kumar aka Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia who we know as ‘Khiladi of Bollywood’. It was not easy for him too to achieve this top position. Due to lack of money, before becoming an actor, he worked as a waiter, chef, peon and salesman. There was a time when manufacturers used to reject these. But he struggled without being defeated and fulfilled his dreams.

We know Gaurango Chakraborty, born on 16 June 1950, as Mithun Chakraborty. Before coming into films, he was a Naxalite. After the death of his brother, he left Naxalism and started struggling in the film world. Overcoming obstacles like poverty, hunger etc. he became ‘Disco Dancer of India’.

The ‘He-Man’ of the film world once worked as a plumber and was not able to earn enough to sustain his livelihood. But after hard struggles, after getting success in films, he moved ahead and became famous by the name of Action King. Along with many awards, he was also honored with ‘Padma-Bhushan’.
