Former US Vice President Kamala Harris said in her new book that she could not believe it when she received the news of losing to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
It is said in the book that after receiving the news of the defeat, a colleague of Harris removed the phrase “Madam President” written on Cupcake and distributed them to the disappointed staff there. Hearing the news, Harris said, “Oh God, what will happen to our country now?” She was shocked the next day and was unable to accept this news. Harris has told these incidents in his book “107 Days” which will be released on Tuesday.
The title of the book points to his campaign for the presidential election. In this, he has accepted his mistakes, exposed his displeasure and mentioned many strange moments.
Harris writes that Biden was tired at the age of 81 and his situation was clearly visible during the election debate. Nevertheless, his team kept shouting slogans like “Joe Biden Jeeto”. Harris admitted that sometimes he and Biden’s relationship also soured.
In the book, Harris accepts some of her mistakes, especially about a poor appearance in the “The View” talk show. When a presenter asked what he did separately from Biden in the last four years, Harris just said, “Not a single thing is coming to mind.” Harris writes, “I had no idea at all that I gave a gift to Trump’s campaign”.
