Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has now come under 18% GST slab, due to which its on-road price in India has come down by around Rs 24,500.
Bajaj Auto has launched Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market with 350cc engine. Its price has been kept at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company says that due to the use of a smaller 350cc engine, this bike has now come in the 18% GST slab, due to which its on-road price has reduced by about Rs 24,500.
The Pulsar NS400Z is the flagship bike of the brand and shares the new 350cc engine with the Bajaj Dominar 400, which was recently launched at a price of Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Apart from the engine, there has been no change in the design and features of the bike.
It gets many premium features like before, which include multiple ride modes, quick shifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, radial tires and Bluetooth connected instrument console. According to Bajaj, due to the 350cc engine, the initial price of the bike has come down, as well as the insurance and registration costs have also come down, thereby reducing the total ownership cost. Earlier its ex-showroom price with 373cc engine was Rs 1.93 lakh.
The new Pulsar NS400Z has a 349 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which produces 40 bhp power at 9000 rpm and 33.2 Nm torque at 7500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. However, compared to the old 373cc engine, there has been a slight decrease of 2.4 bhp power and 1.8 Nm torque, but its power-to-weight ratio remains at 247 bhp per tonne.
Commenting on the launch, Sarang Kanade, President, Motorcycle Business Unit, Bajaj Auto, said that the new 349cc engine makes high-performance biking accessible to more people. With the benefit of 18% GST, customers will get the same powerful NS experience at a lower price.
Earlier, all two-wheelers were subject to 28% GST, but after the implementation of GST 2.0 in September 2025, the tax slabs were changed based on engine capacity. The tax on bikes with engines above 350cc was increased from 28% to 40%, which also affected the NS400Z. Now with 350 cc engine, it has again come in lower tax slab, due to which its price has come down.
