Among them, Dr. Prabha Khaitan is a special name, which makes the world of emotions with poetry. At the same time, criticism, essay and literary feminist ideas give new direction to Hindi literature.
His books show the complications inside the woman and the shackles of the society so clear that the reader is forced to think. She translated the Hindi translation of ‘The Second Sex’ by French creator Simone the Bouwar, which introduces her feminist views.
Prabha Khaitan was rich in versatility. He did important compositions in the fields of poetry, novel, essay, translation and autobiography. Her writing is mainly focused on the nuances and liberation of female life. Through Bengali women, they highlighted anti-female structures of Indian society.
Dr. Prabha Khaitan, known as the axis of feminist thinking, was born on 1 November 1942 in Kolkata. It is said that his literary journey started at the age of 12. He had deeply understood the social, religious, economic and moral values of the woman in literature practice.
Prabha Khaitan wrote compositions like ‘Between the market, against the market: globalization and women’s questions’, ‘Messiah Saartra’, ‘Aao Pepe Ghar Chale’, ‘Talabandi’, ‘Agnisambhwa’, ‘Chinamasta’, ‘Apna faces’, ‘yellow thunderstorms’ and ‘Anya from Anya’, which were well liked. In ‘Anya Se Ananya’, she depicted a courageous and fearless woman, who soon became very popular.
In the book, Prabha Khaitan told the story of her life with such an open heart that by reading this, the difficulties of a woman will be known everyday.
In ‘Anya to Ananya’, Prabha Khaitan writes on the freedom of Indian women, “But no one is able to remain sati. Prabha Khaitan, a highly active in female-related matters, also established a women’s health care institution named Figuret in 1966. Also, she was also the founder-president of ‘Prabha Khaitan Foundation’. He was praised at the national level for feminist writing. She died on 20 September 2008, but compositions like ‘Anya Se Ananya’ are still inspiration for women’s empowerment.
