Now the situation seems to be getting clear on the long standing confusion regarding Dearness Allowance (DA) in the state. According to sources, in the new proposal, the picture has been clarified on all the important things related to DA, due to which the uncertainty created among the employees can be eliminated to a great extent. According to the information, earlier it was believed that DA for the subnal employees has been implemented under a fixed system. However, in the new proposal that has come out now, more clarity has been given on this, due to which the situation is considered to be clearer than before.
Sources associated with the Government of Uttarakhand say that the process of finalizing the proposal related to DA is going on and the condition of different categories of employees has been kept in mind. In the same sequence, the arrangements related to Upanal employees have also been reconsidered, so that there is no confusion regarding salary structure and allowances. Earlier, interpretations regarding DA for the employees working through UPNL Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (Upanal) were coming out at different levels, due to which there was confusion among the employees.
Now after the new proposal, it is believed that a clear direction has been given on this issue at the administrative level, which is likely to reduce the disputes related to salary and allowances in future. Sources also say that after the final approval of the proposal, it will be formally implemented. After this, the concerned employees will start getting benefits as per the new system.
Welcoming this step, employee organizations have said that the long-standing uncertainty should now end, so that employees can get benefits in a timely and transparent manner. At present, the official notification from the government is awaited, after which the new system related to DA will become completely clear.
