Bharatpur The Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) took major action on Saturday. Nadbai Tehsildar Vinod Kumar Meena of Bharatpur district was arrested red handed taking a bribe of Rs 80,000.
According to information received from ACB headquarters, the Tehsildar was accused of RAA of the land of the complainant. The court had sought a bribe of Rs 80,000 in lieu of opening the mutation after lifting the stay from Bharatpur. After receiving the complaint, the ACB outpost Bharatpur unit planned to take a trap action.
ADG ACB Smita Srivastava said that this action was taken under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Bharatpur Range and under the leadership of ASP Amit Singh. During the trap, Tehsildar Vinod Kumar Meena was caught as soon as the bribe amount was taken at his residence. ACB officials said that the accused is being questioned. Further investigation will be done against him by registering a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
