New Delhi, May 20 (IANS). Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Central Government, launched the Bharat Tex 2026 event app on Wednesday. This integrated digital platform is designed to enhance the experience of buyers, international delegates, speakers, sourcing consultants, partners, exhibitors and visitors to India’s largest global textile event.
The ministry said the official Bharat TEX 2026 app reflects the ‘digital-first’ philosophy of the event and will play a vital role in driving business connectivity, enhancing participant experience, enabling data-driven engagement and supporting the sheer scale and ambition of Bharat TEX 2026.
The app has been developed as a comprehensive digital companion for Bharat TEX 2026, through which registered participants will be able to get event information, search exhibitors, schedule meetings, get guided to the venue, capture leads, access knowledge sessions and get real-time updates.
A key feature of this app is its AI Smart Assistant, which is designed as a 24×7 conversational guide for the participants. Users will be able to ask event related questions in simple language and get relevant information about the venue schedule, guidelines and other important aspects. This facility will provide assistance to both Indian and international participants through a user-friendly and quick digital interface.
The ministry further said that the app will also provide advanced navigation and direction assistance in Bharat Mandapam. Attendees will be able to view floor plans, find booths, locate companies and get stall-level directions within the venue.
The Exhibitor Search module will facilitate systematic searching and filtering across various exhibitor categories for global buyers and trade visitors. Users will be able to search companies by name, product category and exhibitor type, enabling targeted sourcing and focused business interactions across the textile value chain.
Bharat TEX 2026, to be held from 14-17 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and 1,30,000 trade visitors from the global textile industry.
It is being organized by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, an association of 11 textile export promotion councils and industry bodies. It is being organized in collaboration with the Textiles Ministry of the Central Government.
