In Uttar Pradesh, political turmoil has intensified over the murders of people of Rajbhar community. Amidst the poster war between Samajwadi Party and SubhaSP, state government cabinet minister and SubhaSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar has made a big claim regarding these murders.
Om Prakash Rajbhar said that among the people of Rajbhar community who have been murdered in the recent past, in many cases the allegations have been leveled against people associated with Samajwadi Party or people of Yadav community. He raised the question why the Samajwadi Party, which practices PDA (backward, Dalit, minority) politics, does not openly raise its voice on these incidents.
Referring to several murder cases on social media, Rajbhar claimed that the names of the accused in the murders in Shravasti, Jaunpur, Maharajganj, Barabanki, Deoria and Mau have come to light, which in some cases include the names of people from the Yadav community. He said that the silence of SP leadership on these incidents raises many questions.
However, Om Prakash Rajbhar also said that “a killer has no caste”, but alleged that the atrocities being committed on the Rajbhar community were being ignored for political reasons.
The allegations and counter-allegations between SP and SubhaSP on this issue are continuously increasing. Posters were put up in Lucknow regarding the murders of Rajbhar community, after which political rhetoric has increased even more.
Rajbhar has warned that he will continue to raise such matters in future also and will bring before the public the “raw picture” of the issues related to Samajwadi Party.
