Karnal, 23 September (). On the occasion of Veer Shaheedi Day, St. Kabir Public School in Karnal witnessed a historic moment. The ‘Wall of Weller’ (wall of valor) was inaugurated here, dedicated to the glorious son of the city, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal of the Indian Navy. On this occasion, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, Vinay’s parents Rajesh and Asha Narwal, sister Srishti and Dada Hawa Singh arrived. Everyone shared Vinay’s childhood memories.
Everyone looked emotional at the opening ceremony. Vinay had studied up to 10th standard with his sister in this school. On the wall, Vinay’s naval uniform, cap, his picture and inspiring images of the Army, Navy and Air Force are decorated. This wall became the center of attraction for school children, which inspired him with the martyrdom of the martyr. The children came here and became aware of the service of the country and were excited for the army recruitment. The arms exhibition organized in collaboration with Army, Navy, Air Force and Haryana Police also enthralled the children.
Speaker Kalyan said, “Vinay is our pride. Every youth should be inspired by their martyrdom.” Dada Hawa Singh, who is a retired officer of Haryana Police, said emotionally that Vinay was courageous since childhood.
Vinay Narwal’s father Rajesh Narwal said, “St. Kabir School has taken a unique initiative on Martyrdom Day. Exhibition and ‘Wall of Weller’ were established in collaboration with Thal, Water, Air Force and Police. It arouses enthusiasm in children, creates an inclination towards uniforms. The school has contacted for a month, asked for a month, I asked for the material, I will provide many defense officials in the coming time.”
Vinay’s mother Asha Narwal said, “My son lived for the country, martyred. This wall is his legacy. Mother should teach patriotism to her children.”
Explain that this wall will not only cherish the immortal saga of the martyr, but will also inspire the coming generations to patriotism and sacrifice. Vinay Narwal gave his martyrdom in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, when he went for a honeymoon with his newly married wife Himanshi. 26 innocent people were killed in this attack. In response to the incident, India ran ‘Operation Sindoor’, in which accurate attacks were carried out on PoK and Pakistan -based terrorist bases.
