Bhopal, June 13 (IANS). Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan interacted with self-reliant women power in the ‘Atmanirbhar Mahila Samman’ program organized in Bhopal and observed various products being prepared by them. During this, he praised the hard work, talent and self-confidence of women and said that today the women power of the country is creating its new identity on the strength of skill, innovation and self-reliance.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to make women strong, capable and self-reliant. Specially mentioning Lakhpati Didis, he said that they are setting new examples in the field of self-employment as well as education, skill development and innovation.
During the programme, the Minister also appreciated the women who are giving a new direction to their future through higher education, PhD and skill development programs like double ITI. He described the initiative of reusing temple waste material to create new products as an inspiring example of cleanliness, creativity and self-reliance. Also mentioning the Central Government’s Govardhan Yojana, he said that such initiatives are promoting environmental protection and self-reliance by converting waste into useful resources.
Dharmendra Pradhan announced that new efforts will be made in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to provide more opportunities for education and skills to women. Apart from this, work will also be done to connect prestigious institutions like IIM with this initiative, so that women can get better opportunities and new possibilities.
He said that the role of women power is very important in making Bhopal a clean, beautiful and self-reliant city. He also stressed the need to pursue the goals of energy conservation, environmental protection and better lifestyle by promoting the use of PNG. The Union Minister said that every house of Bhopal should become a witness to the story of self-reliance and success of women power, this is the effort. He expressed confidence that only with the active participation of mother power, the dream of ‘Developed India’ will be realized and this power will become the basis of progress and prosperity of the country.
