Honda 0 Alpha EV will be launched in India in 2027 and its interior has been seen for the first time during testing
Honda is planning to launch its first EV in the Indian market and for which the company had started testing it a few months ago. This electric SUV has once again been seen during testing in India. This time, pictures of the testing model of Alpha Concept, which is nearing production, have surfaced from Manali. The company is preparing to launch this electric SUV in 2027.
This time its interior has also been visible. A large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system is provided in the middle of the dashboard, which appears larger than the screens of current Honda cars. Also digital instrument cluster is also visible. The dashboard design is quite clean, with thin AC vents and a new multi-function steering wheel.
However, many parts of the cabin are still under wraps, so the final features and finish may change at the time of launch. At the rear, the SUV has an almost straight tailgate, which makes its design look boxy. It has vertically designed LED taillights, large rear windshield, bumper with thick body cladding, roof-mounted stop lamp and high-positioned rear glass.

The front design is still covered, but the square-shaped LED light elements are clearly visible. The front grill has been kept completely closed (Closed-off Fascia). Small bonnet and large lower air intake are also seen. The side profile has a long cabin, short bonnet, large glass area and short overhangs. The almost straight roofline and rear doors are designed to provide more space in the cabin.
After launch, this mid-size electric SUV will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV and other models. Honda considers it to be the entry-level model of its 0 Series EV and its design is based on the company’s “Thin, Light and Wise” philosophy.

According to reports, the model available in India can be provided with a battery pack of between 60 kWh to 70 kWh, which can give a driving range of about 450 kilometers. Initially, it is likely to get a single-motor front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. Honda will produce this electric SUV locally at its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Currently, the company’s Indian lineup includes Amaze, City and Elevate. In such a situation, 0 Alpha will be Honda’s first electric SUV in India and will strengthen the company’s presence in the rapidly growing EV SUV segment.
