Hathras. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party and its president Akhilesh Yadav during the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development projects worth Rs 548 crore in Hathras. He hit back at Akhilesh Yadav’s statement about making Ayodhya a religious city and said that those under whose government bullets were fired on Ram devotees do not have the moral right to worry about the development of Ayodhya. Taking aim at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, CM Yogi said that Ayodhya does not need to be recognized by anyone. Don’t worry about it, repent and have darshan of Ramlala once, you will gain wisdom. If you really want to prove yourself religious then speak openly about Mathura-Vrindavan, Shri Krishna’s birthplace, a campaign for the liberation of Shri Krishna’s birthplace should be run on the lines of Ram’s birthplace. Referring to the Moharram processions, the Chief Minister said that now all the festivals in the state are celebrated peacefully within the ambit of the law and Tajiks will not be removed from the house or balcony of any poor person. Along with this, he claimed that the double engine government has worked to make Uttar Pradesh riot-free, mafia-free and giving a new direction of development. He said that before 2017, the state was infamous for riots, curfew and anarchy, whereas in the last nine years, rule of law has been established in the state.
He said that recently thousands of Moharram processions took place peacefully in the state and there was no disturbance anywhere. The government has a clear policy that no poor person’s house, balcony or hut will be removed in the name of religious events. If necessary, the height of the Taj Mahal can be reduced but the safety and facilities of the common citizens will not be compromised.
Responding to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s statement regarding Ayodhya, CM Yogi said that those who opened fire on Ram devotees are remembering Ayodhya today. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the glory of Ayodhya has been restored and it is realizing the memories of Tretayug.
He also alleged that during the Samajwadi Party government, restrictions were imposed on Kanwar Yatra and religious events were also disrupted. During this, CM Yogi also attacked Congress and called Emergency the biggest attack on the Constitution. He said that today Samajwadi Party stands with the same Congress, which had worked to crush democracy.
Referring to the development schemes, CM Yogi said that the ongoing projects in Hathras, Sikandrarau and Sadabad assembly constituencies will give new impetus to the development of the district. Discussing cold storage, processing centres, better seeds and agricultural research institutes for farmers, he said that the government is continuously working to increase the income of farmers and provide employment to the youth.
