These include suppressing Trinamool’s ‘false narrative’ against the BJP on the issue of cultural identity and non-vegetarianism. ‘Khela Hobe’ cut
During the elections, when Trinamool Congress was busy coining the slogan ‘Khela Hobe’, veteran strategist Shah made a bold prediction with great confidence. He clearly said that out of total 152 seats in the first phase, BJP is ready to register a landslide victory on more than 110 seats. Party sources said the opposition had rejected it as a mere election claim. However, when the results came, Shah’s booth management and political foresight at the grassroots level proved to be 100 per cent correct. Citing the figures, sources said that BJP won 117 out of 152 seats in the first phase, which clearly shows that the electoral equations were in favor of BJP right from the first phase of voting.
Ended 10 years of dominance
In the second phase too, the BJP took a historic lead and won 90 seats, a significant jump compared to its mere 18 seats in 2021. A BJP source said that this is a unilateral mandate. BJP has achieved a spectacular gain of 130 seats by increasing its vote percentage by more than seven per cent. By wresting 62 per cent (74 seats) of the 119 constituencies that the Trinamool Congress had held continuously for the last 15 years, the BJP has presented irrefutable proof of its invincible wave. He said that out of 162 seats which were dominated by Trinamool Congress for the last 10 years, BJP registered a landslide victory on 102 seats.
Threat in Muslim areas
The most ‘concrete evidence’ of the success of BJP’s election strategy are those districts where there is a significant population of Muslims. In North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Malda and North Dinajpur districts, where the Muslim population ranges from 26-66 per cent, the BJP won 56 of the total 118 seats, much more than the 14 seats the party won in 2021. According to BJP sources, the party wiped out Trinamool by performing brilliantly in ten districts of West Bengal. He said that if we talk about North Bengal, which is the stronghold of BJP, the party won nine seats in Cooch Behar, seven in Jalpaiguri, five in Darjeeling, five in Alipore and one in Kalimpong.

BJP won 16 seats in Purba Medinipur, nine in Purulia and four in Jhargram in South Bengal. A source said that during the election campaign, sensing the mood of the public, Prime Minister Modi had predicted that Trinamool Congress would not even be able to open its account in many districts. The people of Bengal proved this prediction true. Sources said that Shah’s camping in West Bengal for 15 days strengthened the BJP’s election campaign and strategy. Shah’s presence and guidance ‘inspired and energized’ the party workers, who made efforts to reach out to every voter at 80,000 booths.
