These days, posters from “I Love Mohammad” to “I Love Mahadev” are the subject of discussion across the country. From social media to roads, this poster war is hot, which has created a stir in the whole country. Amidst this poster war, many leaders gave their reactions, but the issue also created a spark of violence on the streets. Especially, after the arrest of Maulana Tauqir Raza, the statement of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came out, in which he said, “The ghosts of the kicks do not believe in, but the trend that is going on is going to break the society.” The Chief Minister also said that due to this issue, tension against each other has increased in the society and this situation is worrisome.
But amidst this poster controversy, a big question is arising that some prominent Muslim leaders of Uttar Pradesh are keeping distance from this dispute and silence is keeping. So let’s know which are Muslim leaders who are silent in this matter:
1. Maulana Moibullah Nadvi:
Maulana Moebullah Nadvi, MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, is considered an influential leader in the Muslim community of Uttar Pradesh. Rampur has a large number of Muslims, yet Maulana Moibullah did not make any statement in support of the poster “I Love Mohammed”. This raises the question as to why Maulana Moibullah Nadvi is away from this controversy. Are he adopting a strategy of silence on this issue or is there some other reason?
2. Afzal Ansari:
Afzal Ansari is a big name in Uttar Pradesh politics. His brother Sibgatullah Ansari has also been a Member of Parliament for a long time. Afzal Ansari has also not made any statement on the “I Love Mohammed” controversy. His silence remains the subject of discussion because when it comes to politics, Afzal Ansari’s name is prominently taken. There may be a political strategy behind his silence on this issue, but his role is definitely questioned on this silence.
3. Danish Azad Ansari:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Danish Azad Ansari holds the post of Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj in the Yogi Adityanath government. He is considered the only Muslim minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, but he has not yet made any statement on this dispute. “I Love Mohammed” is being speculated in politics about his silence. The silence of Danish Azad Ansari raises the question as to why he is away from the issue, while he is an active minister and is fulfilling many responsibilities related to Muslim society.
The silence of these major Muslim leaders raises an important question in the midst of this poster war. Is this silence part of a political compulsion or has these leaders deliberately decided to stay away from this dispute? The more complex this issue is, the more important it is, because it is not only affecting communal harmony in the society, but also showing a new direction in politics. Now it remains to be seen when and what this leader finally reacts to this issue.
