Haryana congress news: After a long time, the state president of the Congress has been announced in Haryana, Rao Narendra Singh was made the Congress state president, while Bhupendra Singh Hooda was elected leader of the Legislative Party. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal issued a press release saying that Mallikarjun Kharge approved these appointments. These appointments have been made 10 months after the Congress defeat in the assembly elections.
Rao Narendra Singh has replaced Uday Bhan. He has been an MLA three times and a minister in the Haryana government. Hooda will be the Leader of Opposition in the state assembly due to being the leader of the legislative party. He also played this role in the last assembly. With this, Chaudhary Udaybhan has been discharged from the post of Haryana Congress State President. In his place, former minister Rao Narendra Singh was appointed as Haryana State President.
Congress Working Committee meeting was involved
Rao Narendra Singh and Bhupendra Singh Hooda had earlier attended the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) held in Bihar on August 24 and the names of the two leaders have been approved in this meeting. Sources say that Congress has played a big political bet by making Rao Narendra Singh the state president of Haryana. The Congress wants to increase its grip in South Haryana and strengthen its hold on other backward class voters. Through this, the party is monitoring the vote bank of other backward classes including Yadav in Bihar elections.
Explain that Mahendragarh, Rewari and Gurugram districts of South Haryana are considered to be Ahir Bahulya. There are a total of 11 assembly seats in this area. The Bharatiya Janata Party won all 11 seats here in the 2014 elections, while it won 8 seats in the 2019 elections. In this election, BJP won 10 seats here. Whereas the Congress had only one seats in the account.
