New Delhi. On the petition of businessman Anil Ambani, the Bombay High Court today rejected which he filed against the State Bank of India (SBI). In fact, Reliance Communications and its promoter-director Anil Ambani were declared fraud by SBI in June this year. Challenging this, a petition was filed in the High Court on behalf of Anil Ambani. The bench of Justice Revathi Mohit Dera and Dr. Neela Gokhale while hearing said, “The petition has no power and dismissed it.”
It was said by SBI that Reliance Communications did not follow the terms of its loan and due to this the bank lost more than Rs 2,929 crore. In the same case, show cause notices were sent to Anil Ambani’s company in December 2023, March 2024 and September 2024. After reviewing the answer sent by the company on these notices, it was said on behalf of the State Bank that the company did not give complete information about the irregularities in the operation of its accounts. After this, Reliance Communications and Anil Ambani were put in the fraud category.
Explain that the investigation of CBI and ED against Anil Ambani and his companies in the bank fraud case related to 17 thousand crore rupees is going on. Recently, the CBI raided Anil Ambani’s house and other complexes related to him. Whereas before that, in the money laundering case related to the same case, the ED called Anil Ambani and questioned him. The campus of Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh, associated with Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Infra, was just raided by the ED on 30 September. Earlier, raids have been conducted by the Enforcement Directorate officials at many places.
