Jaipur. For prevention and prevention from seasonal diseases, ASHA, ANM and CHO will conduct door-to-door survey from Saturday. During the survey, the common man will be made aware about taking care of the medical institute immediately after reaching the medical institute, taking the medicine with medical advice, keeping the medicine away from the access of children and taking necessary measures in case of side effects of the medicine. Gayatri Rathore, Principal Government Secretary of Medical and Health Department, gave directions in this regard in a meeting organized through a video conference at Health Building on Friday. All Joint Director Zone, all Chief Medical Officers, all Chief Medical and Health Officers, BCMOs and other concerned officers were present in the meeting. Rathore said that the Chief Minister’s Free Drug Scheme is being operated effectively by the Medical and Health Department, but it should be ensured that medicines provided in the scheme should be written according to the prescribed protocol to the patients and use the common people according to the consultation of the doctor. In the past, there have been cases of side effects in children due to the consultation of coughing medicine at some places. This is worrisome. He said that to avoid such incidents, it is necessary that doctors, pharmacists and common people have necessary information about writing and their use. He gave strict instructions that the responsibility of the officer concerned will be fixed if such incidents come to light in future.
Rathore said that with the stoppage of rain, there is a possibility of spreading seasonal diseases. In this season, the number of patients with cough, cold, fever etc. increases. Keeping this in mind, proper arrangements for investigation, medicine and treatment should be ensured in all medical institutions. He said that while prescribing medicines, doctors should keep in mind what medicines should be written to children and adults, its protocol should be fully followed. While giving any medicine, give the family complete information about its dose.
The Chief Government Secretary said that the pharmacist should not distribute medicines without a doctor’s prescription and give necessary information to the patient and family regarding the use of medicines given. ANM, Asha and CHOs motivate persons with symptoms of cold, cough, cold or fever to consult a doctor. On receiving any information about any side effects from the use of medicines, immediately inform the sector in -charge. Also, make parents aware of the careful use of drugs. Make the common people aware in this regard that they should consume the medicine according to the advice of the registered doctor and according to the prescribed dose.
Mission Director of National Health Mission, Dr. Amit Yadav said that children below the age of 4 should not be given diction -containing medicines. It should be explained to the common man that they should not consume medicines kept in the house without medical consultation. After the intake of the drug, if any kind of side effects such as difficulty, lethargy, unconsciousness, vomiting, seizures are seen, then the nearest hospital or helpline number 104/108 or state level control room number 0141-2225624 can be contacted.
Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Sharma said that the doctor should ensure that in OPD and IPD, clearly prescribe the medicine to the patient and when to take the dose of the medicine, explain the information on the slip and explain it to the patient in this regard. Cry and their families should be given complete information about the quantity and side effects of medicine.
