Ayodhya, Amrit thoughts. Sharadiya Navratri in Ayodhya, the holy city of Lord Shri Ram, started with devotion and enthusiasm of Maa Durga. On the first day, there was an influx of devotees in the Shaktipeeths and temples of Ayodhya since morning. Devotees in other Devi temples including Badi Devkali, Maa Sheetla Mata Temple, Mari Mata Temple, Chhoti Devkali Temple were queuing up and were absorbed in the worship of Mother Bhagwati. The devotees not only prayed for the accomplishment of their wishes, but also offered the welfare of the country and society at the feet of the mother.
Till late evening, this process of devotion continued in the temples and Ramnagari echoed with the shouts of Maa Durga. On this holy occasion, the religious and cultural importance of Ayodhya emerged even more. The temples were decorated with flowers, rangoli and lamps, causing the entire atmosphere to become devotional. Strong arrangements were made for safety in the temple premises, so that devotees could visit the mother without any interruption. The police and administration had made special arrangements for mob management, so that there is no inconvenience to the devotees.
Additional counters and entrances were also built in the temples in view of the crowd of devotees. Navratri was also seen in the houses. Many devotees started worshiping Maa Durga with the establishment of Kalash in their homes. A Suman Tiwari told that we established the urn in the house with the family and then the mother came to see Badi Devkali. By the grace of mother, we wish for happiness and peace in life. Shraddha Gupta said that we observe nine days fast and worship the mother every day. On the first day, the mind got peace by visiting the temple. Such reverence and enthusiasm of the devotees painted Ayodhya in the color of devotion.
