Varanasi: ‘Pushpa Holi’ will be organized for the devotees from 9 am to 12 noon at Shankaracharya Chowk of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex. A meeting was organized with top officials, CRPF, private security agencies and representatives of the private cleaning agency working in the Dham regarding the preparations for Holi festival. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that through flower shower on the day of Holi, devotees will be able to participate in the Holi festival in a spiritual and cultural environment. Keeping in mind the possible crowd of devotees coming to the Dham, detailed discussions were held on security, cleanliness, crowd management and outline of cultural programs.
By establishing better coordination between all the departments, it was decided to ensure that the devotees enjoy Holi in a convenient, safe and spiritual environment. Executive Officer Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that apart from this, special cultural presentations will be given by artists on March 4 while maintaining the dignity of Holi festival. These will include bhajans, Holi songs and traditional dances. The main objective of these programs is to provide the devotees with the joy of the festival in a spiritual and cultural environment. In view of security, adequate police force and security personnel will be deployed in the Dham complex. Special surveillance will be maintained at the entry and exit points through CRPF and private security agencies. Continuous monitoring will also be ensured through CCTV cameras.
To keep the cleanliness system strong, regular cleaning arrangements will be made by private cleaning agencies. The temple administration has made a special request to all the devotees not to bring chemical colors, abeer or any harmful substance to the Dham. In view of the sanctity, cleanliness and safety of the structure of the Dham, the festival should be celebrated only through Pushpa Holi.
