MG Majestor SUV has a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which produces 215 hp power and 478 NM torque.
MG Motor India has today revealed its 7-seater SUV Majestor in India after several teasers and debut in the international market. This new full-size body-on-frame SUV from MG is positioned above the existing Gloster and will directly compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron.
Booking of MG Majestor has started in India from today for Rs 41,000. Its test drives will begin from April 2026, while deliveries are expected to begin from May 2026. MG has confirmed to offer the Majestor in three variants, including Sharp 4×2 (entry-level), Savvy 4×2 (mid-spec) and Savvy 4×4 (top-spec).
This SUV will be sold in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. The company has also announced that the first 3,000 pre-booking customers will be given 5 years of unlimited kilometer warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance, and 5 years of labour-free service for free. The new MG Majestor is offered with only one powertrain option. It has a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which generates 215 HP power and 478 NM torque.
This is the same engine that is also used in the high-end variants of the MG Gloster. For transmission, it has been provided with ZF’s 8-speed automatic gearbox. Additionally, the SUV gets an on-demand 4WD system, which provides better control and traction for off-roading. MG Majestor is designed with excellent off-road capability. It has an ‘M-Hub’ all-terrain management system, which allows the driver to choose from 10 different drive and terrain modes.
Apart from this, it has been provided with advanced off-road features like M-Crawl function, low-speed transfer case, three differential locks, water wading capacity of up to 810 mm, making it completely capable for difficult terrains. The design of the new MG Majestor is inspired by the global Maxus D90 SUV and its look is very muscular and premium.
Inside the cabin, it gets many luxury features, including massaging front seats with ventilation, tri-zone climate control, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), panoramic sunroof and premium interior. 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment, 12 speaker JBL audio system, powered tailgate, 64 color ambient lighting, 6 airbags, 360 degree camera etc. are included.
