Mahindra XUV 7XO gets new exterior design And many new features will be available in the interior.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO will debut in the Indian market on January 5, 2026, and will essentially be an updated, more premium version of the Just like the company changed the name of XUV300 to XUV3XO, similarly now new branding is being brought for XUV700 too. Since its launch in 2021, the XUV700 has consistently been recording huge sales in its segment.
Recently, Mahindra introduced the XEV 9S based on the XUV.e8 concept, whose design is also similar to the XUV700. Now the company is preparing to launch the updated model of XUV700 named XUV 7XO. The teaser released shows a glimpse of the front and rear of the SUV, in which the new LED setup is clearly visible.
The front sees boomerang-style LED DRLs, while the rear gets an inverted L-shaped LED signature, which is connected to a light bar. Both these design elements are inspired by the XEV 9S. Apart from this, new grille, new bumpers, alloy wheels and new color options are also expected.
No change is expected in the size of the SUV and it is likely to get the same 2.2L mHawk diesel and 2.0L mStallion petrol engines as before. The 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes will also continue. The real changes will be seen in the cabin, where like the XEV 9S and XEV 9E, a modern layout with three screens will be given.
It is also expected to include 5G connectivity, Boss Mode and built-in Alexa support. This will be the first time that such a premium screen setup will be offered in an ICE-powered Mahindra SUV. The dashboard, center console, AC vents, steering wheel and other interior materials will also be completely new. Currently, the XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.66 lakh and Rs 25.14 lakh (ex-showroom) and prices may increase slightly for the new XUV 7XO.
Interestingly, even the base variant of For this reason, the question remains whether the company will continue the existing XUV700 with the XUV 7XO or discontinue it.
