The beefed-up Rall-E version of the BE6 electric SUV was recently spotted and is expected to be launched next year
Mahindra is working on several new electric SUVs for the Indian market, including the XUV3XO EV and the XEV 7e. In this context, recently a powerful off-road version of the BE6 electric SUV has been spotted during testing, which will probably be named BE6 Rall-E. The Rall-E version of the BE6 was showcased in concept form in 2023 and was also showcased at the 2024 India Mobility Expo.
Although the test prototype was completely camouflaged, it still appeared to be ready for production. The launch date of this powerful upcoming electric SUV from Mahindra has not been decided yet, but from the continuous testing seen, it is being speculated that it may come in the market by next year.
Apart from the BE6 Rall-E, the company is also working on 7-seater electric SUVs like the XUV3XO EV and XEV 7e, which are expected to launch in 2026. Talking about the BE6 Rall-E test model, its look is almost similar to BE6, only some minor changes have been made. It has round headlights on the front, which were also seen in the concept model and make it different from the regular version.
Additionally, the roof carrier and off-road tires are also clearly visible in the pictures. Additionally, the front and rear bumpers look new, presumably designed to suit the off-road capability of the SUV. Green decals, black wheel arch cladding and steel wheels can also be seen in the testing prototype.
Interior details of the BE6 Rall-E have been kept under wraps for now, however, we expect it to have only minor changes compared to the regular model. Mahindra BE6 Rail-E is expected to get an upgraded powertrain setup. A large battery of 79 kWh can be provided as standard in this powerful electric SUV. We expect it to also have a dual motor setup, which will deliver power to all four wheels.
The combined output of both electric motors will be around 389 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque, although nothing is confirmed yet. It may also use a smart off-road electronics suite to control power distribution between the front and rear axles, giving it the necessary off-road capabilities.
