This is also a big reason behind this that Maruti brings its cars in the budget. Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of its cars and SUVs. Maruti Suzuki has announced this on 16 January. The company has increased the ex-showroom price of many of its models by about 1.1 percent. The increased prices will be applicable from today i.e. January 16. This means that now you will have to pay about one per cent more to buy a new Maruti car. However, the company has not told the model wise price hike yet.
It is worth noting that Maruti Suzuki had informed about this price hike in December. The company had told that this price hike was necessary to maintain the cost of manufacturing the cars. The company said that this price hike will be different for the models of Maruti cars. Jimny and Fronx bookings in full swing At the India Auto Expo in Noida last week, Maruti Suzuki unveiled two new models in the sports utility vehicle segment – the Jimny and the Fronx. As soon as the booking of Maruti Jimny started, the customers of Maruti booked it in a hurry. The Jimny is being manufactured at the company’s Gurugram plant.
For information, let us tell you that India is the only country where the 5-door variant of the Jimny model is being manufactured. It will also be exported from India to other markets. Bookings have also opened for both the Jimny and the Frons and will be sold through the company’s Nexa retail outlets. The company’s total order bookings currently stand at around 3.2 lakh units, compared to around 4 lakh units last year.
