Royal Enfield Bullet 650 gets the same 648cc parallel-twin engine, which is already used in many other 650cc motorcycles of the company.
Royal Enfield has finally launched the new Bullet 650 in the Indian market. With this the company has added a new chapter to its oldest and iconic Bullet lineup. For the first time, the Bullet name comes with a bigger 650cc parallel-twin engine, gold pinstripes and a chrome peashooter exhaust.
The new Bullet 650 has been launched in two color options like Cannon Black and Battleship Blue. The ex-showroom price of both has been kept at Rs 3,64,856. Its sales have started at authorized dealerships across the country. The design of the new Bullet 650 has remained largely similar to the old Bullet models.
It has a round fuel tank, upright riding position, long bench seat and classic body style. However, now this bike has become a part of the company’s twin-cylinder 650cc lineup. It gets the same 648cc parallel-twin engine, which is also used in bikes like Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 and Super Meteor 650.
This engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, which provides better performance and smooth cruising on the highway. Talking about mechanical setup, the bike has a steel tubular spine frame. At the front, there are 41 mm Showa telescopic forks with 120 mm travel, while at the rear, twin hydraulic shock absorbers are provided with 112 mm travel.
The new Bullet 650 has 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, which maintain its classic roadster look. Royal Enfield has also retained many old design elements. It has hand-painted pinstripes, wing-shaped badging, signature casket design and Tiger Eye pilot lamps. LED lighting has definitely been added, but it has been kept with the classic look.
The riding position has also been kept quite comfortable. The high handlebar and upright seating position make long distance riding and everyday use easy. The instrument cluster gets a small LCD display with an analog meter, which shows information like fuel level, trip data, gear position indicator and service reminder. The Bullet name has always been one of Royal Enfield’s most recognizable motorcycles. The new Bullet 650 carries forward the same classic identity with a bigger engine and a more premium package.
