The growing popularity of iQube and Orbiter has given TVS the top position in the country’s electric two-wheeler market.
.TVS Motor Company has achieved a major achievement in the electric two-wheeler segment. The company’s total sales of iQube and Orbiter electric scooters have crossed the 10 lakh units mark. According to Vahan data of June 11, 2026, total sales of these two models have reached 10,04,148 units.
TVS entered the electric scooter market with the iQube in January 2020 and has continuously expanded its EV portfolio since then. iQube still remains the most important model of the company’s electric scooter business. Over time it has been introduced in several variants, with battery packs ranging in capacity from around 2.2 kWh to more than 5 kWh.
Its top variants are capable of giving a range of more than 150 km. Talking about the features, it is provided with modern features like touchscreen display, connected technology, navigation, voice assistance, fast charging, ride analytics and OTA updates. At the same time, Orbiter has further strengthened the company’s presence. This scooter offers a distinct design with an affordable price and a range of around 115 km. Recently a new V1 variant and BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme has also been added to its portfolio.
As important as the sales figure of 10 lakh units is, what is even more interesting is the pace of its growth. It took more than 3 years for iQube to reach the first 1 lakh customers after its launch. But after this the sales picked up and it took only 10 months to reach 1 lakh to 2 lakh units. In April 2024, the company crossed the sales mark of 3 lakh units.
After this, in just 17 months, TVS achieved sales of 3 lakh to 7 lakh units. The company traveled from 7 lakh to 8 lakh units in just three months between October and December 2025. At the same time, between March 28 and June 10, 2026, sales of 1 lakh additional scooters were recorded in just 75 days, that is, on an average, 1,333 electric scooters reached customers every day.
TVS’s share in the electric two-wheeler market has also increased continuously. The company’s share was about 1 percent in the year 2020, which will increase to 8 percent by 2022. TVS crossed the 20 percent market share mark for the first time in 2023, when its annual retail sales stood at 1,77,024 units. After this, the company’s annual sales increased to 3,15,083 units in 2025, making TVS the leader in the electric two-wheeler segment from April 2025.
