1. Rashmi Desai
Rashmi Desai was talking about her personal life in an interview. The effect of this was that Umar Riaz had to face lewd comments from fans. Rashmi Desai also highlighted this issue to Mumbai Police in a tweet.
In his tweet, he wrote, “I request you to please look into this matter as they are harming me and my family’s image. I am being deliberately harassed. My family is also being dragged into this. This is a case of harassment.”
2. Vibhuti Thakur
A similar incident happened with actress Vibhuti Thakur, who played the lead role of Tera Yaar Hoon. Due to some reason, he became a victim of cyberbullying after his phone number was leaked. Vibhuti started receiving calls from strangers asking her to have sex. She was completely devastated and unable to handle it. When things were not handled, he informed the cyber police about the matter.
Speaking to ETimes TV about it, Vibhuti said, “Yesterday, I started getting calls and messages from random numbers. Initially, I thought it was some kind of joke, but when some people started asking for sex, I broke down.”
3. Tina Dutta
Uttaran fame Tina Dutta shared a topless picture on social media. After this he faced harassment. Nasty comments were received from a user’s post on the actress. This matter escalated to such an extent that they informed the cyber cell in TINA about it. By sharing a screenshot, Tina slammed the troll for his indecent comment. He shared the user’s social media profile, tagged a cyber crime cop and asked for help.
4. Kavita Kaushik
Well-known actress Kavita Kaushik also had to face lewd comments from a user. After which complete information was given to the cyber crime cell. The actress shared a screenshot of the user’s social media profile, tagged the cyber crime department and asked for strict action.
He wrote, “This is a serial criminal who breathes obscenity 24/7. Please catch him and find his family. I would love to show his messages to them! @yogeshdangi_420 is his identity! Let’s find him before I file an FIR on him,” she wrote.
Later, Kavita also shared a screenshot of the user apologizing.
5. Kamya Punjabi
A similar incident happened with another actress Kamya Punjabi. During Bigg Boss 14, he supported Kavita Kaushik against cyber bullying. After this he was trolled on the internet.
Kamya informed the cyber crime cell about the issue. The actress shared screenshots of the abusive messages and comments in a tweet and sought help from the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Cell.
6. Devoleena Bhattacharjee
Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who played the role of Gopi in the famous TV serial Saath Nibhana Saathiya, also became a victim of cyberbullying in 2017. This happened during Bigg Boss 13. He was dragged into a fan war and derogatory remarks were made.
Actually, a fan of Shehnaz Gill sent an audio clip to Devoleena. In it, abusive language was used against him and his mother. The actress lodged a complaint against that internet user in Mumbai Cyber Crime Cell.
7. Nia Sharma
Nia Sharma, who made a place in people’s hearts with the serial Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, has also not remained untouched by this. In 2017, Nia Sharma became a victim of cyberbullying when her social media account was hacked.
The hacker sent him hate messages from his own account. Nia came to know that her account had been hacked when fans informed her about it. After this the actress sought help from the cyber crime cell.
