The country is still in mourning after the blasts near the Red Fort in the capital Delhi. More than 2,900 kg of explosives were seized in Faridabad before the blasts. Explosives were seized twice. Police have arrested the accused Zahid (50, father Mohammad Khan) who had illegally kept explosives in his house.
Despite having a blasting license, the accused had illegally stored explosives in a residential area. The police have registered a case in this matter and arrested him.
‘Public safety was in danger’
Police said that during the operation, 202 small dynamite, two big dynamite and a bundle of wires were recovered from Zahid’s house. He said that the accused has an explosion license, but he violated the strict explosive storage rules by storing explosive material in his house, which is a threat to public safety. Police have registered a case against Zahid under section 288 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
2,900 kg explosive seized in Faridabad
Earlier, police had seized around 2,900 kg of explosives and inflammable substances in Faridabad. This matter came to light after the arrest of Kashmiri professor Dr. Muzammil Shakeel. Due to this incident there was also an explosion in the Red Fort of Delhi.
