Lucknow . After the successful organization of Mahakumbh-2025, now the state government is moving rapidly towards giving an unprecedented, organized and aesthetic form to Magh Mela-2026. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations for Magh Mela are almost complete. Recently, a special discussion was held before the Chief Secretary on the unveiling of the logo, sector wise color scheme and infrastructural reforms. This time it is estimated that 12 to 15 crore devotees will take a holy bath at the Sangam in Prayagraj, which will also include lakhs of Kalpavasis who come every day.
Officials said the entire fair area will be based on a colour-coordinated theme. Every sector will experience uniformity. To give a coherent and attractive look to the fair, all seven sectors and seven pontoon bridges will be decorated in colors corresponding to the “seven energy cycles”. A 3 feet wide demarcation strip will be made on the boundary wall of each sector, due to which the size of the fair will appear visually clear, organized and beautiful. The logo of Uttar Pradesh Government and Magh Mela-2026 will be displayed in all sectors. The changing rooms available at various ghats will also be designed as per the sector-wise color scheme.
There will be double the capacity than before, with matching color schemes. Now 4 people will be able to use the facility simultaneously in 2 units instead of 2. This will make crowd management more smooth and convenient and the uniformity of the fair will be maintained.
An official said that all the seven pontoon bridges will be decorated with seven colors of the rainbow. The lights installed on the bridges and the LED lights installed on the poles will be displayed with religious symbols, which will be the center of attraction both during the day and night. Flags according to color will be installed on every bridge. Keeping in mind the convenience and safety of passengers, canopies will be constructed on the bridges.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that Magh Mela-2026 should not only be a symbol of religious sentiments, but should also become a model for fair events across the country in terms of cleanliness, security, traffic, medical facilities and modern infrastructure. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the fair administration is engaged in providing a safe, organized, spiritual and world-class experience to the devotees.
