New Delhi, May 25 (). Israel detained Gaza-bound flotilla participants. Arab and Islamic countries have alleged that Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir subjected them to public humiliation during their detention. In such a situation, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement, in which it strongly condemned the Israeli minister.
The foreign ministers of eight Arab and Islamic countries have strongly condemned a radical Israeli minister’s appalling actions against Gaza-bound flotilla participants. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry gave this information.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry wrote, “The Foreign Ministers of the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, Arabia and Turkey strongly condemn the horrific, outrageous and unacceptable actions of the extremist Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir against the participants of the Gaza-bound flotilla while they were in Israeli custody.”
The Foreign Ministry said the ministers stressed that Ben-Gvir’s deliberate public humiliation of detainees is a shameful attack on human dignity and a clear violation of Israel’s responsibilities under international law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
The ministers further strongly condemned the unlawful and radical acts of incitement and violence against Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory by Ben-Gvir and other Israeli officials, he said.
The Qatar Foreign Ministry said, “The ministers warned that Ben-Gvir’s provocative actions incite hatred and radicalism and hinder efforts to pursue a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution. The ministers demanded accountability for Ben-Gvir’s actions and called for concrete steps to stop his repeated incitements, incitements and violations, and to prevent him from making further threats and ensure that such “The actions must not be tolerated or repeated. They also stress the need to protect the human rights and dignity and humane treatment of all detainees, and to ensure full respect for international law in the occupied Palestinian territory.”
