Mumbai, September 18 (). Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule, while supporting the press conference on the issue of vote theft by Rahul Gandhi, called the investigation of electoral data very important.
He said that if the vote is being stolen despite Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s rights to the Election Commission, then it is a matter of serious concern.
Sule said, “I want the investigation to start with my constituency Baramati. I live hard. If there is any disturbance, then our area should be investigated first.”
He insisted that in democracy, one should win by hard work, not by stealing ‘votes’. Being in opposition is not a crime, but it is wrong to win by theft.
Speaking on the pressure of Income Tax, CBI and ED, Supriya Sule targeted the BJP. He said that people are leaving the party under pressure. Earlier the government was aggressive, but now its strategy has slowed down a bit.
He taunted, “BJP has a ‘washing machine’, but we do politics of principles. Data and numbers never lie. If someone did wrong with the country, we will not forgive him.”
Supriya Sule took a tough stand on the incident of Meena Tai Thackeray throwing color on the effigy of Meena Tai Thackeray in Mumbai. Describing it as tragic and wrong, he suggested that CCTV cameras should be installed near all effigies so that such incidents can be stopped.
On questioning the Mumbai Local Body Election, he said, “First the election be announced, then we will discuss it. It is also not clear when elections will be held.”
At the same time, in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, while surrounded the government on farmer suicides, he said that this government is not sensitive to farmers, children, education, health and water life missions.
Supriya Sule claimed that a farmer is committing suicide every three hours in Maharashtra, but the government is busy taking “home breaking, party break” and big contracts. Farmers are neither getting the right price nor benefits on products like milk. The promise of debt waiver by the government was not completed even after a year.
On the strike of doctors in Maharashtra, Sule said that doctors are considered to be God and the suffering of patients is not their fault. The government should communicate with doctors and solve their problems.
On Maratha reservation, he demanded a serious discussion with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He suggested that a detailed presentation should be given in the assembly session on this issue so that the situation is clear. A party meeting should be called so that the country clearly understands what is the situation regarding Maratha reservation. At present, only confusion is spread.
