Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has given an important gift to the employees of the state. State employees are demanding increase in dearness allowance. The Chief Minister made this announcement on Sunday and said that the employees of the state will now get dearness allowance (DA) equal to that of the central government.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced a 3 percent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of Chhattisgarh government officers and employees. With this, the state employees will now get 58 percent dearness allowance equal to that of the Central Government. This announcement was made during the eighth state conference of the state employees union. The Chief Minister said that he got the opportunity to understand the feelings and expectations of the employees.

Government is serious about the interests of employees
Chief Minister Sai said that the decision to give dearness allowance to the state employees at par with that of the Central Government was taken after discussion with the union officials of the Centre. He made it clear that the state government is fully committed to the interests of the employees. He also clarified that other pending demands related to the employees are also being considered, and a committee will be formed to discuss these issues so that a practical and balanced solution can be found.

The Chief Minister said that many states of the country have still not reached the level of dearness allowance of the Central Government, but the Chhattisgarh Government has decided to give equal salary to the employees. Earlier, in August 2025, the state government had increased DA by 2 percent, making DA 55 percent. This new increase will provide additional relief to the employees amid rising inflation.

No delay in decisions related to employee welfare
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai further said that the employees of the state work day and night for their state. So he decided to increase DA. He said that in future, decisions related to the welfare of employees will be taken on priority basis. There will never be any delay in decisions related to welfare. Officials of the State Employees Union welcomed the Chief Minister’s decision and called it a proof of the government’s positive attitude towards the employees and expressed hope that soon positive decisions would be taken on other demands also.
