CNG prices increased for the third time
On Saturday, May 23, the price of CNG was increased by ₹1 per kg. Earlier, the price of CNG was ₹80.09, which has now increased to ₹81.09. It is worth noting that CNG prices have been increased thrice in the month of May.
Why are CNG prices increasing? According to gas distribution company IGL, “Rising gas prices in the international market and strengthening of the US dollar have impacted CNG prices.” This is the reason why the company had to change the retail prices. However, the company claims that despite the increase in prices, CNG is still a cheaper fuel compared to petrol and diesel.
