Jaipur. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s All India Cow Service chief Ajit Mahapatra said that in the present time, there is a need to take cow service forward not on emotional basis, but on policy, social and practical basis. He stressed that cow protection should not be limited only to cow sheds but should become a subject related to home, temple, agriculture and government policies.
Mahapatra was speaking at the release ceremony of Hastimal Ji Smriti Ishwar Srishti Samman and Amritmayi Gau Bharati Granth organized at the Narada Auditorium of Patheya Kan Sansthan on Sunday. He said that there are a large number of cow devotees, saints, monasteries, temples and cowsheds in the country, yet the condition of the native cows remains worrying. He urged the government to clearly identify indigenous cattle and foreign breed animals in cow sheds and make separate arrangements for them. It is the responsibility of the government to give priority to the conservation and promotion of indigenous cattle.
He said that the use of cow-based products should be promoted in agriculture, dairy production and religious rituals. Adoption of natural and organic farming in place of chemical fertilizers and artificial resources will not only help in health but also in environmental protection. He stressed the need for pure cow products in Panchamrit, Prasad and religious use.
Mahapatra called upon the society to give cow service the form of a mass movement. He said that a plan is being made to send the demand letter to the government through programs related to cow respect, so that concrete decisions can be taken at the policy level. He also said that adopting cow-based lifestyle will strengthen the cultural identity of the country and will make India self-reliant.
He said that Mother Cow is not only a matter of religious faith, but is also a pillar related to health, agriculture, environment and social balance. Both society and government will have to together take long-term and effective steps for cow protection.
Organizing Committee Chairman Pradeep Shekhawat, while narrating the life events of Hastimal ji, said that the life of a Sangh pracharak is based on complete dedication, discipline and sacrifice. The preacher keeps himself back by living among the society and gives guidance to others.
Shekhawat said that in the functioning of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the pracharak works considering the wishes and plans of the organization as paramount. This life is associated with the feeling of sacrifice of personal desires and considering national interest as supreme. Referring to the thoughts of Sarsanghchalak, he said that the first dimension of Sangh work is to live the organization. The life of the preacher is a living example of this ideology, which provides continuous inspiration in society building and national service.
On this occasion, Nimbarkacharya Peethadhishwar Shyamsharan Devacharya said that it is not possible to imagine Sanatan culture and creation without mother cow. He said that in today’s time, there is a need to adopt cow service not only from emotional but also from practical and scientific point of view.
Devacharya said that along with the scriptures, modern science is also accepting the usefulness and healthful properties of cow-based products. The global demand for Indian cattle and A-2 milk is proof of this. He said that people living in metropolitan cities can also contribute to cow service through cow conservation, promotion and awareness. Describing cow service as a matter related to the welfare of the nation, society and environment, he called for making it a mass movement.
On this occasion, Chandramdas Maharaj of Sikar was given Hastimal Ji Smriti Ishwar Srishti Samman. At the beginning of the program, Chairman of Ishwar Srishti, Kamlesh Pareek ‘Kamal’ gave detailed information regarding Ishwar Srishti Project, Amritmayi Go Bharti Granth and Nandini Gau Seva Samvardhan Sansthan.
At the end of the function, organizer of the organizing committee Pushkar Upadhyay expressed his gratitude.
