Dausa. A unique confluence of service and determination was seen on Thursday during the National Service Scheme (NSS) camp conducted at PM Shri Ramkaran Joshi Government Higher Secondary School. Through the camp, volunteers took up social responsibility and spread the flame of education in backward areas.
Former Sarpanch Kiran, who was mainly present in the program, addressed the volunteers and explained to them the importance of education, environmental protection and cleanliness in life. He made everyone take a collective pledge to create a drug-free society and eradicate various evils prevalent in the society. While wishing Chaitra Shukla Pratipada (New Samvatsar), Principal Dr. Manisha Sharma said that NSS volunteers visited Harijan Basti and Sikligar Basti. Here he distributed stationery material to children to encourage them towards studies. The faces of the children lit up after receiving new pen-copies.
Along with this, volunteers went door to door to make people aware of not using plastic and always throwing garbage in the dustbin. All the volunteers took an oath to always remain dedicated to the service of the nation.
During this service work, the entire school staff and NSS volunteers including Lalit Kumar Gupta, Kaluram Meena, Hariom Gupta, Harikesh Meena, and Nandkishore Sharma were actively present.
