Lamborghini has launched its first Temerario supercar in the country. This is an important step in Lamborghini’s history, as it signals the beginning of a new era of electric-powered hybrid supercars for the company. The ex-showroom price of this luxurious car in India has been fixed at ₹ 6 crore. This new car will replace Lamborghini’s famous and popular model ‘Huracan’. Additionally, after the ‘Revuelto’, this will be Lamborghini’s second high-performance vehicle to run on hybrid technology (using both petrol and electricity).
What makes Lamborghini Temerario special?
At the heart of this car is a new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Along with this powerful engine, the vehicle also has three electric motors and a 3.8 kWh battery. When the petrol engine and electric motor work together, the car produces an unmatched output of 907 horsepower and 800 Newton-meters. The V8 engine alone is capable of producing 789 horsepower and can reach an astonishing top speed of 10,000 RPM. For a road-legal sports car, an engine that revs so fast is a remarkable achievement.
Speed of 100 km/h in the blink of an eye
When it comes to speed, the Lamborghini Temerario has no competition. This supercar accelerates from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.7 seconds. At the same time, its top speed is 343 kilometers per hour. Charging the car battery is also very easy; It can be fully charged in just 30 minutes via a plug-in charger, regenerative braking or directly from the car’s V8 engine.
**Design of Lamborghini Temerario**
Visually, the car looks just as attractive as traditional Lamborghini models, yet its new design is more aggressive than ever before. The car has 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. The rear – featuring a large center exhaust and hexagonal taillights – gives it a futuristic look, reminiscent of the Lamborghini Revuelto.
**Feel like a fighter jet – and features too**
As soon as you sit on your seat inside it, you feel as if you are a pilot of a fighter jet. The dashboard has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen and a special 9.1-inch screen for the front passenger. Its interior is made from a combination of carbon fiber and premium leather.
To start the car, it has a fighter-jet like flip-up button, which has to be lifted up before being pressed. This vehicle is equipped with an advanced torque vectoring system and e-4WD technology, which maintains excellent grip on all types of roads and turns and prevents slipping.
Thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the car can also be driven for short distances on electric power alone. For safety, it has been provided with modern features like ABS, EBD, multiple airbags, tire pressure monitoring system and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
