• On the instructions of the Sports Ministry, cycling, yoga, run and rope skipping programs will be organized across the state.
Jaipur. With the aim of increasing awareness about fitness among the youth and the general public, as per the instructions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, a statewide “Sunday on Cycle” campaign will be organized in Rajasthan on 24 May 2026. In this regard, necessary guidelines have been issued to all district police units, training institutes and other police units by Additional Director General of Police Armed Battalion and Chief Sports Officer Rajasthan Police Rupinder Singh.
Singh said that this special event is being organized under the Fit India Movement and Khelo India Campaign, the aim of which is to motivate the common people for regular exercise, cycling and active lifestyle. Along with cycling, activities like yoga, running and rope skipping will also be included in the programs organized across the state, so that people of all age groups can participate in it.
This time Sunday on Cycle is being organized on the Commonwealth Games (CWG) theme. This event is being considered more important after India’s successful bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Through the campaign, the message of promoting sportsmanship, fitness and community participation as well as strengthening the sports culture of the country will be given.
Chief Sports Officer Rajasthan Police Singh said that all police units have been instructed to ensure effective organization of programs and increase maximum public participation. Also, photos and videos of the programs will be shared widely on social media platforms, so that the message of public awareness towards fitness and healthy lifestyle can reach more and more people.
