New Delhi, May 27 (). The administration and police departments have made extensive security arrangements across the country regarding Eid-ul-Azha. Flag marches, route marches and peace committee meetings were conducted by the police in many states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, so that the festival could be conducted in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere.
Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik said that the police is fully alert and prepared for Eid-ul-Azha. He said that precautionary measures are being taken and blockades and route marches have been conducted in sensitive areas of the city. The police administration is constantly monitoring the situation, so that law and order is maintained during the festival.
Speaking to , DCP City Manish Kumar Shandilya in Prayagraj said that prayers will be offered in about 400 mosques and Eidgahs in the city area. He said that peace committee meetings have been organized at all police station levels and central level.
He appealed to the people not to offer namaz on the road and not to sacrifice banned animals. An appeal has also been made to avoid performing sacrifices at public places and sharing photos or videos related to it on social media. Flag marches are being conducted continuously by the police to maintain the security environment.
In Delhi too, before Eid-ul-Azha, police took out flag march in various areas. Additional DCP Paschim Kumar Singhal said that adequate police force has been deployed at all the mosques. He said that Peace Committee meetings have been organized to maintain peace and the support of the local people is also being received continuously.
On the other hand, SSP Gaurav Grover in Ayodhya said that in view of the upcoming festival, flag march and route march has been conducted by the District Magistrate and police administration in all the police station areas. He said that such marches are conducted regularly to strengthen the sense of security among the general public.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Bablu Kumar in Lucknow said that extensive security arrangements have been made in the entire district. He said that Peace Committee meetings have been held in all zones and communication has been established with all concerned parties.
He informed that about 1500 policemen, six companies of PAC and one company of RAF have been deployed as part of security arrangements. The aim of the administration is that the festival of Eid-ul-Azha should be completed with complete peace, brotherhood and harmony.
